I have learned to steal away every “dirty” shirt my husband wears during his last week or two home prior to a deployment, and then ziploc them. Coupled with that, I have learned only to smell them when I have time to cry. Fort Wainwright, AK

Great idea… I don’t wash my husband’s pillow case until a few days before he’s due home again.

That’s a great idea! I always steal one of his shirts but after sleeping with it for months, they tend to not smell like him anymore
P.S. We’re stationed at Ft. Wainwright too
