I have learned that the lawn mower needs gas to start, driving with the emergency brake ON is bad for your car, tarps do not keep the roof from leaking, you CAN get pink eye in both eyes at the same time, the Air force does not want my husband to EVER celebrate our anniversary, and that no matter how many deployments you go through it never gets any easier!  Bolling AFB, DC

I have learned not to let the kids watch movies in the van while you grocery shop unless you have jumper cables and a willing person to get you started again! (for the record, my kids are all over 11!)  Lakenheath, England

I have learned that you need to find out how to get to the emergency room as soon as you move to a new location because your children only get hurt when you spouse is TDY.   Air Force Mom, Ramstein, Germany
